Hand wash only. Wring lightly if desired (twisting silk too much may keep the scarf from regaining its shape.) Lay flat to dry. Silk scarves twist up to store. Remember to store silk scarves away from direct sunlight. If you are storing your scarf for long periods of time, take it out every six months to allow air to circulate around the silk. As a natural fibre, silk needs to breathe.
Pashminas do not have to be dry cleaned, they can be carefully hand-washed. Roll in a towel to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry. Avoid placing in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Iron on low setting if needed. Store pashminas neatly in tissue paper or a polythene bag and put them in a closet away from light, dust and dampness.
